Join Curtis Seebeck, the creator of Cactus Juice Stabilizing Solutions and a true pioneer in DIY wood stabilization, for this exclusive private, hands-on lesson at the Mid-Atlantic Turners Expo.

This introductory class covers the full process: preparing your wood blanks and equipment, applying vacuum infusion with Cactus Juice, extended soaking, and proper oven curing. You’ll gain a solid foundation to stabilize at home—no prior experience required!

Hands-on and personalized: Work directly with Curtis in small-group format to stabilize your own blanks using professional-grade Cactus Juice resin, vacuum chambers, and curing setups.

What to Bring: Up to FOUR pen blank-sized pieces (¾”–1″ thick, max 5″ long). Ideal woods: medium to soft, punky, spalted, or dry-rotted. Avoid hard or oily woods.

No blanks? Purchase suitable specialty woods from expo vendors on-site.

Multi-session format spans the weekend for complete curing results.
You’ll leave with your stabilized blanks (fully processed and ready to turn after final cure) and the knowledge to replicate the process at home!
