Join master pen maker Jim Hinze of Hinze Pen Company for this exclusive, highly personalized hands-on lesson at the Mid-Atlantic Turners Expo. Jim, a self-taught artisan with over 15 years of experience creating custom fountain pens using traditional metal lathe methods, will guide you step-by-step through the full process.

From selecting premium materials (vibrant resins, exotic woods, accents) to precision turning, threading, fitting mechanisms, nib/clip installation, and finishing—Jim tailors instruction to your skill level, answering every question as you build your unique pen.

Everything provided: all materials, tools, lathe access, and supplies. No prior experience needed—just enthusiasm!

What you take home: Your finished bespoke pen (a one-of-a-kind masterpiece ready to write with soul!).

Ultra-limited: Only 2 students per session (4 total slots over the weekend) for intimate, focused teaching.
Duration: Up to 3 hours per session.
Cost: $200 per student
